Bloody hell. I say that with the utmost feeling. With the post-mid-year crisis that hits around the start of September and makes you think, simultaneously, ‘wow, a lot has happened’ and ‘oh f*** it’s three months until Xmas!!!’. Boy is that the case.
This already is more a diary entry than a thought provoking or informative article/blog post…and I don’t apologise. I’ve moved flat, moved job (twice), been up and down the country (more than twice), learned new crap, forgotten old crap, met new people, and otherwise wasted half a year. I’m not old. Far from it. But I appreciate now what I always heard when I was younger; these will be the longest years of your life.
It’s not just me, either. People are moving careers and homes, babies are being made (virtually everywhere…hehe (not me, mother, honest)), my peers are getting married of all things. Frankly it’s weird. Anybody younger than me will be thinking I’m weird for spouting all this. You will have this feeling at some point. Trust me. Everyone older will be nodding their head sagely and reminiscing. I would hope that somebody feels the same at this point, and aim this brief quote at them.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Live well guys.
Peace.
